suggestions for shaping the future

in the course of this year’s munich creative business week, the pilot project “platform” presents the multifaceted publication “visionen gestalten” (“creating visions”). in an interview fritz frenkler explains his thoughts about the future tasks of design.

 

29 designers, makers and thinkers from different disciplines of science, including design, architecture and sociology as well as from politics and economics, contribute in the current volume to a discourse on the challenges of the present and give suggestions for shaping the future.

 

in conversation with elisabeth hartung, fritz frenkler explains his vision of the future role of design in the interaction between the disciplines. in addition, he draws up possible paths design could take. “probably the minimization, the reduction, is a good approach for the future,” is one of his theses. in the present volume, he continues to expand his ideas and at the same time calls for more research in the field of design.
